Dr. Crago has served as President of the Canadian Association for Graduate Studies, the Association des Doyens des Études Supérieures du Québec and the Comité des relations internationales de la Conférence des recteurs et présidents des universités du Québec. She was appointed a member of the Fellowship and Career Development Standing Committee of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, the University Advisor Group of Industry Canada and the Council of Graduate Schools of the United States. She is presently a member of the Board of Trustees of World Learning.
As editor-in-chief of Cambridge University's Applied Psycholinguistics, Dr. Martha Crago has an international reputation as a researcher in the field of psycholinguistics. She is Vice President of the International Association for the Study of Child Language and has published widely on language acquisition across various languages and learner populations. In 1999, she was named Woman of Merit in Science and Technology by the Women's Y Foundation of Montreal.
